Films are advancing into the digital age driven by big data and artificial intelligence. In filmmaking, the application of emerging digital technologies such as digitization, virtual imaging, and XR has brought profound changes to the film industry: it is strongly impacting the survival space of the traditional film industry and challenging the existing film industry pattern. Digitization, generativity, and cloudification have become the characteristics and trends of future films in the era of digital intelligence. Empowered by digital technology, future films will continue to explore new paths for creating cinematic spectacles, seeking to construct a new ecosystem for film content, and exploring the creative space and infinite possibilities of films in the digital age.
