报告人简介：

Valery Romanovski现任斯洛文尼亚马里博尔大学教授，同时为该校应用数学与理论物理中心研究员，还担任上海师范大学特聘教授一职。他于1986年在列宁格勒州立大学（现圣彼得堡国立大学）获得物理与数学科学专业哲学博士学位，2001年在白俄罗斯国家科学院数学研究所获得同一领域的博士学位，主要研究方向为微分方程。2011年，Romanovski教授荣获斯洛文尼亚科学研究杰出贡献奖。他曾主持并参与多项国际科研项目，2017年担任斯洛文尼亚 - 匈牙利“微分方程中代数方法的应用”项目首席研究员，还分别在2004年、2006年、2009年、2012年和2015年担任斯洛文尼亚 - 美国双边项目首席研究员，在2008年、2010年、2011年和2016年担任斯洛文尼亚 - 俄罗斯双边项目首席研究员。此外，他还是《动力系统定性理论》（“Qualitative Theory of Dynamical Systems”）和《应用分析与计算杂志》（“Journal of Applied Analysis and Computation”）等知名SCI期刊的编委。他多次在国际会议和研讨会上发表主题演讲和讲座，并亲自组织过多次此类活动。

报告内容摘要：

We first discuss stability  on a center manifold of higher dimensional systems and its relation to existence of an analytic first integrals. The method is based on the making use of Lyapunov functions. Then we consider bifurcation of limit cycles in a model for calcium oscillations in the cilia of olfactory sensory neurons and in a model of tumor growth.
