There are one first class of national key discipline and 6 second class of national disciplines, 3 of which are customized by our school. There are one authorized a doctor's degree-level and one authorized Master's degree-level for first class discipline; 5 authorized doctor's degree-level and 1 master's degree-level for second class of national discipline, and 1 authorization center of college teachers' job. There are also Post-doctoral Research Station, National Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center, National Teaching Team, National Experimental Simulation Teaching Center, and The Ministry of Education Innovation Team, Sichuan Innovation Team.
In this teachers' team, there are 2 Chinese Academies of engineering, 3 group members of discipline evaluation of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, 1 awarded the national outstanding teacher, 2 awarded National Outstanding Youth, 3 professor were employed in Cheung Kong Scholars Program, 2 people were selected in Sichuan Personnel Training Project, 5 were selected in the New Century Million Talent Project, 15 were referred as academic and technical leader in Sichuan Province, 10 were enjoyed special government allowances of experts, 6 outstanding contribution youth experts, 20 excellent experts, 4 New Century Excellent Talent judged by Ministry of Education, and 1 peculiar expert from Thousands of People Plan of Sichuan.
In 1988, Technology Development Agency of the United Nations set up China oil "Well Completion Technology Center". In the same year, the Canadian government aided "the Canadian Gas Exploration and Development Technical Training Center". In1989, the State Key Laboratory of Petroleum Geology and Development Engineering was approved. In 2006, Education Ministry Engineering Research Center of natural gas exploitation was established. In 2013, our institute was approved by the State to build a national energy high sulfur gas reservoir R & D center, and the national "College campus practice education base". In 2014, "Sichuan marine gas hydrate develop collaborative innovation center" was approved, consisting of 17 provincial and ministerial key laboratories. There are 4114 sets of laboratory equipment for Research and Teaching, which worth more than 166 million 750 thousand RMB, covering about 24,076 square meters of the experimental space.
In the period of "the 12th Five-Year Plan", our institute has undertook 55 subjects, including major national special project named large-scale oil and gas fields and coal-bed methane development, which contract worth 109 million RMB. And 12 projects from 973 and 863, 5 projects from NSFC (Natural Science Foundation of China) and outstanding youth fund project are being undertaken.
Our school has been awarded 2 special awards and 2 second prizes of national scientific and technological progress, one second prize of national technology invention, one excellence award of China patent, 12 first prizes and 17 second prizes of provincial technical invention and scientific and technological progress, 120 invention patents has been authorized. More than 300 papers were taken in by SCI, more than 120 papers were taken in by EI, more than 300 articles were taken in by CSCD, and 39 monographs were published.
Our institute has won 2 first prizes and 2 second prizes of the national teaching achievement, awarded 5 first prizes and 3 second prizes of Sichuan Province teaching achievement, 3 papers were nominated in National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation, 13 articles were included by outstanding doctoral dissertation of Sichuan Province, 16 papers were included by excellent master paper.
Our institute actively build international communication platform for faculty and establish normal academic communication mechanism, including Texas Farm (A & M) University, University of Oklahoma, University of Calgary, University of Regina, Canada, Germany, Clausthal University of Technology, University of Petroleum Eluosiwu Law Russia and other world-renowned universities gold castle petroleum University. Through multi-selection and offer fund program, our institute encourages teachers to further study or visit or make academic communications in order to open teachers' horizons and promote our school's influence.
