摘要:This presentation will provide an in-depth overview of the University of Montenegro, the main public university in the country and a key pillar of higher education and research. The report will begin by introducing the University’s organizational structure, including its constituent faculties, research centers, and support services, highlighting both the comprehensive academic environment and its integration with the needs of Montenegrin society. Special attention will be given to the University’s dedication to internationalization, including collaborative projects, student and staff mobility, and global partnerships with academic and industry leaders.
In addition, the presentation will focus on the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, outlining its facilities, the scope of its teaching and research activities, and its evolution over the years. The report will discuss the Faculty’s infrastructure, laboratories, and ongoing scientific initiatives, connecting its development history and current significance to wider trends in materials science and technological innovation. Finally, the presentation will highlight major research orientations and showcase the University’s and Faculty’s contributions to national and international scientific progress, demonstrating their role in fostering innovation and contributing to the advancement of sustainable technologies and research excellence.

报告人简介:
Veselina Grudić is a full professor at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, University of Montenegro, where she has been serving since 1995. She holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, with her doctoral research focusing on the oxidation of halide ions in aprotic electrolytic solutions. Her main research interests include the electrochemical behavior of metal oxides, surface processes at electrode/electrolyte interfaces, sorption kinetics, biomass-derived carbon materials, and energy storage and conversion systems, with a strong emphasis on the circular economy.
Prof. Grudić has led and participated in numerous national and international scientific projects, particularly in the field of advanced materials for energy storage, ecological batteries, and sustainable technological solutions. She has published over 50 scientific papers in international journals and conferences and has been recognized for her contributions to scientific research and the academic community at the University of Montenegro. Prof. Grudić has supervised several PhD, master’s, and diploma theses, and actively coordinates and lectures at summer schools and conferences related to materials science and environmental sustainability. Her engagement extends to organizing international scientific symposia and participating in collaborative projects such as the NATO SPS SUPERCAR project on carbon-based batteries and supercapacitors.
Her work not only advances fundamental understanding in electrochemical energy storage and environmental protection but also bridges scientific research and industry needs, contributing significantly to the research profile and international presence of the University of Montenegro.
