摘要:This presentation will tackle the problems of the synthesis of carbon-based and other materials for batteries and capacitors. Carbon-based materials occupy a crucial position in next-generation energy storage devices due to their high specific surface area, excellent electrical conductivity, and chemical stability. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the design and large-scale fabrication of structures such as porous carbon, graphene, and carbon nanotubes. However, key challenges remain, including cost control, structural tunability, and green synthesis. Furthermore, the modification of carbon materials—such as doping and composite formation—has remarkably enhanced their energy storage performance and remains a major research focus. The presentation will also discuss recent advances in the use of geopolymers and the recycling of solid wastes for the synthesis of functional materials, particularly for energy storage, providing novel approaches for the development of green and sustainable energy materials.

报告人简介:
Ivana Bošković is a full professor at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, University of Montenegro. She received her bachelor’s degree in technology from the University of Montenegro (1995), and both her master’s (1999) and PhD (2006) in physical chemistry from the University of Belgrade, Serbia. Prof. Bošković has been part of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology since 1995, where she currently serves as a full professor and has held leadership roles including vice dean for teaching and vice dean for research and development.
Her main research focuses on the development and synthesis of materials for energy storage, particularly carbon-based materials for batteries and capacitors, the valorization of industrial waste (such as red mud), and the design of advanced geopolymers and eco-friendly materials. She has published extensively on these topics and has participated in significant national and international scientific projects related to ecological batteries, advanced materials, and raw material valorization. In addition, Prof. Bošković is an active reviewer for several international journals in the fields of chemistry and materials science.
